You’re going to have to pick. But worry not, I have all the tools to help you make your decision. We’re going to dive into what each capital offers and which sort of traveller it’d suit.

Belfast is probably the most overlooked capital of the United Kingdom. It has a heavy history and not many people want to dig deeper into the city, which feels dark and small, and easy to pass over.

I would recommend probably between 2 and 3 days in Belfast itself and then another 4 to 5 days for exploring County Antrim, which has a lot more to offer than just the Giant’s Causeway.
